When I was little, my grandma lived in the downstairs apartment of our house, and I was always sneaking down there just to hang out with her. She'd give me vanilla bean ice cream, let me stay up way too late watching tv, and our whole house would smell like her cooking. Beans and cornbread, fried okra, Christmas cookies. All of it.
And then one day, she was just gone.
After she passed, I kept looking for her everywhere. In her recipes, in stories people told, in those familiar smells that would hit me out of nowhere. But what I really wanted were more photographs. I wanted to see her again. The way she moved around the kitchen, how she laughed at something silly, all those quiet ways she showed me love. But there just weren't enough pictures.
That's honestly what got me into photography. At first, I just didn't want anyone else to feel that same ache of wishing they had more. But the longer I've been doing this, I realized it's not just about remembering. It's about feeling everything all over again. Capturing that warmth in someone's eyes, the weight of a gentle touch, all that love that lives in the everyday moments nobody thinks to document.
That's really why I do this work. Because time goes by so fast and love is way too precious to just let slip away. I want to give you the kind of photos I wish I had more of. The ones that don't just show you what happened, but actually take you right back to how it felt.
I'm so glad you're here.
If you're looking for more than just someone to take photos, if you want a photographer who really sees you and cares about the connection just as much as the actual images, then you're totally in the right place. I don't believe in just showing up and snapping away. I want to know you, hear your story, and understand all those little moments that mean everything to you.
This work is deeply personal to me because I know how precious these memories become. I'm here to create something real with you, something that feels completely like you. Not just beautiful images, but photographs that capture the essence of who you are together and the love you share in all those quiet, unguarded moments that make your story uniquely yours.
When I'm not working, you'll find me spending time with my two dogs, Charlie and Ollie. Charlie is a pointer mix with endless energy who brings adventure to every day. Ollie, my Goldendoodle, is chill but still has an infectious personality. They love playing together and are wonderful reminders of what matters most: joy, companionship, and living in the moment.
Fall has always felt like pure magic to me. The way the leaves turn into these incredible reds, oranges, and golds, like the world is giving us this amazing final show before winter settles in. That crisp air just wakes me up and makes me want to breathe deeper and feel everything more intensely.
Something about this season just really gets me. It's like this beautiful balance of change and nostalgia, all that vibrant color mixed with quiet stillness. Fall feels like permission to slow down, to have those deeper conversations, and to really soak in those quiet moments that just settle into your heart and stick with you.
Hiking with my dogs is honestly one of my favorite things ever. It's my escape, just me, them, and the trails where I can actually breathe and take in all the quiet beauty around us. There's something so incredible about finding new spots and feeling that perfect mix of peace and adventure that just fills me up.
A couple years ago, I got to visit Iceland and watch a volcano erupting during a whale-watching tour. Like, the earth was literally putting on this once-in-a-lifetime show and I felt so small but so amazed at the same time. Whether I'm hiking or chasing adrenaline through skydiving, these experiences always remind me how amazing life is and how much better adventures are when you share them with people you care about.
